  • Where does the speaker connect?
The speaker plugs into a small white jack on the front right hand side of the movement. The speakers its self has a 2 wire pigtail with a matching jack. Simply align the two jacks together and press them together firmly. The two jacks can only align 1 way, so if it wont plug in, do not force it, just flip over the speaker wire jack and try again.
  • Can I return The movement if I purchased the one with the wrong sized hand Shaft?
Yes, However only for another one with the correct size hand shaft. We ask that you carefully measure your existing hand shaft so you will purchase the correct one the first time. You will have to pay for postage both for returning and for us to send another one out. It is important that you measure your hand shaft to ensure, you purchase the correct movement.
  • The movement will strike the hour at the 6 O'clock mark.
This is a common mistake and easy to fix. The minute hand on the "I" shaft style hand can go on 2 ways. Only one way is correct. If the movement is striking the hour on the 6, simply remove the minute hand and turn it 90 deg and reinstall the minute hand.
  • The hands wont move and the clock wont run.
The Harmonic movements we sell require a total of 3 batteries. ( 2) "C" batteries and (1) "AA" battery. The (2) "C" batteries operate the chiming part of the clock movement, while the (1) "AA" operates the clock hands. Make sure all 3 batteries are installed and make sure all 3 batteries are of a good quality and are new.
  • Will my old clock hands fit the new movement?
That depends on the style of hands your old clock has. There are 2 types of hands that will fit on a Battery clock movement. One is called an " I " shaft hand, the other is called a push on hand. Both of the Hour hands do push on, however, the minute hand will have either the I shaft hand or the push on hand. Nether are interchangeable, so you will have to determine what style hand you have. If you are replacing a Mechanical wind up movement with a battery Harmonic movement, than the answer is No, A mechanical clock hand is different from a battery clock hand and none are interchangeable.
  • The movement chimes before / after the top of the hour and the 1/4 hours.
This has 2 answers depending on what style hands are on your new movement. If you have "press on hands" then, the hands are not lined up correctly. You will have to reposition the minute hand in order to have the clock chime at the correct time. This may take several attempts. If you have the "I" style hands then most likely your movement is not lined up correctly in your clock case. Once you have the hands on, you can adjust the Harmonic movement so that the movement will start to chime at the exact moment the minute hand hits the top of the hour.
  • The part that holds the pendulum is swinging, but I don't have a pendulum on this clock.
These movements come with a pendulum "hanger" so you can use the movement, with or without a pendulum. If you choose not to use a pendulum, the pendulum hanger can be locked. If you push the pendulum hanger to the left, you should see where it locks into place on the pendulum.
  • Will The Harmonic Movements replace all Hermle 2114 and 2115?
Not all but most. Our Harmonic movements are the same with as the Hermle 2114/2115 and many other makes and models, However on the Hermle 2114/2115, the hand shaft has many different lengths. Therefore, it is important that you measure the length of the hand shaft on your older movement and match it up to one of ours. If you are unsure, its better to purchase one with a longer hand shaft, this way you can always ship the movement back a bit to make it fit. This will take some engineering on your part, however we are here to help in case you run into a problem.
